Cheers Damo & Tazz

Yesterday I cracked on with prepping my spoiler ready to be sprayed. I gave it a quick sand down with some sand paper I had in the shed then dad set about filling the chips for me. When they were done I cracked out the electric sander and got it completely smooth. Before I can start to spray it I need to go around the edges with paper again as the sander is to big and just sort the edges out but then it's time for more fumes :D

Anyway picture time :)

Then I cleaned it with white spirit but didn't take a pic

2 of the chips dad filled for me

And then the electric sander played it's part!

If a jobs worth doing, it's worth doing properly :)

Gave the spoiler a lay of primer a while ago just to see if there were any areas that still needed attention but I'm pleased to say, there are none :D so one more layer or primer and then it's time for some paint

I am so happy!

Was browsing ebay yesterday and came across an irmscher add-on pack for mk3 astra :) It wasn't actually listed as this, but as a mk3 body kit! So I straight away look at it's location and it's Luton! About 12/13 mile from me, great I'm thinking!
Problem is, auction has only just started with 5 days left, so on the cheeky side I sent them a question explaining I was local and can collect whenever and how much to end it early! I was pretty set on the fact he was going to let the auction run or! give me a stupidly high price.... wrong.... very wrong. I wake up this morning to find an email saying £30 collected! The smile was endless, so I go wake dad up.... sorry dad.... and ask if we can collect it, dad says we'll go tonight so I quickly email back and bang, it's mine! WIN!

So I'm now the proud owner of an Irmscher kit for a mk3 astra. Only thing missing is the side skirts but they're only ph2 gsi skirts anyway. I've got both lower aprons, top GSi spoiler which I'll sell and I already have the middle boot spoiler in the garage!

And the GSi Spoiler which has the back and the covers for the brackets!

So happy!

Am I feeling smug? YES!

That looks full of win to me sam! Lose the customary Vauxhall pink paint and you are on to a winnah!
Oh yeah, bin the Poundland trims as well.

Here's the auction pic of your bargain Ben:

Cheers Guys :)

This morning I put my original dash trim back in, not 100% on the red.... mostly because I missed loads of bits. This at the same time also gave me the opportunity to find my hazard switch which I dropped down the back of the dash and fix the heater roller thing for the top vents so that's all done now :)

Got back from the garage and decided to crack on with getting the kit ready to be sprayed, want to try and get it all on for PVS and also going to contact a sprayer in a while for a price

Placed my lower apron on - Placed being the main word

Also, I know I hate cone filters but mine came this morning along with my new washer jet motor! Tried it quickly and I must say.... It does sound a lot better
