Not been on really due to a new job etc, but im back now!
Had some issues with a noisy top end and high oil consumption. So did some messing about in the engine bay poking and squeezing bits, turned out the crank case breather was solid with crappy old oil so the head was over pressurising. So whipped it off and went a bit mad with the carb cleaner and did the same in the plenum cover and throttle body

So did that and thought id change the sparks, good job i did, No4 has a nice ash coating from burning oil, fingers crossed its not damaged the piston rings or valve stems.

So ill be keeping eye on that.
Also got a freebie from work which was nice, came in the form of a Pipercross Venom kit. ducting needs looking at ill probably upgrade it to some proper hosing at some point but still im happy with it. give a nice noise from 2-3k and the engine seems happier more revvy etc, probably more to do with the crank breather being cleared than anything else. Ill be looking to get a catch tank in the near future for it as well so i can keep eye on what occuring better.
