bhp gains

as most of you will know ive got a vec v6 estate fitted with a stainless powerflow cat back system closed induction kit and ive just bought a set of 3.0 cams and a 3.8fpr im wondering what sort of power would my vec have been doing standard and with mods

apparently its been proved that 3.0 cams boosts by 30bhp ish. ive never seen this done myself in person but heard it from a few people !!

well the 3 litre cams came as standard from the msd tuned engines for the GSi's so what were they 192bhp or something like that?
and as for the fpr i have no facts or proof but i don't think it would give you anything above 1bhp and thats if your lucky
but you have to remember that the x25xev has been given a false bhp figure from vx, it was released with a 168bhp but i have seen standard lumps kicking 190, your best bet G is to dyno it before and after  :yes:

atleast you dont have a too optamistic aim like some people 200bhp isnt tht far away really !!!

BP270 cams, sports filter, S/Steel cat back system and ported head and what did it make?...172bhp I was [censored]ed. You have to be careful with some of the changes you make as it can drop power.

What does the auto have as standard? The manual 2.6 is quoted between 170 and 185 depending on who you believe.

the only diffrence between the 2.5 and the 2.6 are emissions D

oh also they have never given out figure for the auto box's as they only quote the ENGINE bhp  :lol:

but if you say its 20/40bhp Mark your is still impressive
