Simon's question thread (please read you may be able to help)
« on: February 03, 2010, 09:20:29 PM »

Theres a few things i'm going to do to my calibra while i have all the dash and interior out,

first up i am going to replace my white 140mph clocks with some black 160mph ones. will these work ok? all the plugs are the same etc.
also i am going to ditch the blue led's and go for red to go with my red and black theme.

next up is the heater panel and light switches etc, i want red led's in these is it hard to do (guide?)

next up, the yellow plug near the glovebox. is this the one for the trip computer? if so i have found the plug,
also i have an indicator stalk with the controls on ready to fit, will i have to do any additonal wiring? or will it basically be plug and play.
(still need to source a trip comp as the last bloke never f**king sent it!)

my 2 gauges still need wiring up (standard vaux oil & voltage) will i find the wiring hidden anywhere? if not how do i wire them up,

can i blank off the EGR system on the x20xev, as it is unsightly and in the way, also i dont care about emmisions as its not a problem,

what will i need to convert to throttle bodies (found some QED direct to head ones)

Thats it at the moment, i'd really appreciate any input as i want to get my car finished, if anything else comes up i'll post it on here.

so long as your present speedo is not cable driven , and the clocks are out a turbo rather than a v6 , they should work

easier to just buy them all pre done

yes it will be the Fc plug , and if your fitting the stalk you will need to run wires from the stalk to the FC conector
Wiper Switch.   Fuel computer end   Function

Brown/Red    to Brown/Red         ( Mode Switch – S )
Brown/White    to Brown/White       (Reset Switch  – R )
Brown         to Brown/Yellow      (Common earth wire)

unless your car had them fitted already you will need to run wires, plus need the connector and also need to change the currect switch for a duel sender switch

would think you can, if you find a blanking plate

no idea on that one

what Fraz said
but on throttle bodies you will need the manifold, throttle linkage unless already supplied stand alone ecu to run them unless supplied with t,b's, and then a rolling road session to set them up properly
