how rare are the redtop 4x4 non turbo

as a couple of you know i was offered a 4x4 non turbo a while back and the bloke is a bit of a kN*B and wanted like 600 then it just went down from there now i am having it for £150 and im happy because i can leave it there for now until my house move goes ahead !!
   just want to know how rare these are as im unsure weather too put it back on the road because it does need a bit of work or weather too break it or shal i just chop it up and make a pick up ??
 

   dont really want too be chopping up something that is rare as hens teeth ????

I had one of these for a few years. A 91 in dark blue. Underpowered but I liked it. I think they are rare but not sure how much.

Like Charlie I am not sure how rare one is but I think you should put it back to standard. By the time you have put in all the work to get it there it will be worth it. They are only going to get rarer.

well either way it will be sold as i am keeping my SE8 for the road but what is the way too make the most money sound abit like its all about the money but really want to go to town on my se8 and make a pick up  calibra

just stripped mine  :'(

last figures were 108 left of the gsi 4x4.

watch out for rot, these LOVE to hide it.

dan they made about 11,or 12 of them and if it is the red one mate IT IS A PILE OF S41T. Dont do it you will be paying through the nose to get it any where near a nice motor and the lifters are shot.it needs lots and lots of bits to get it to run properly and the 4x4 system is shot.And then you have to sort out the body work,side door windows then because it has sat around for so long all the rubber pipes will need to be changed for saftey, ie brake lines fuel lines, engine seals as they have most probably shrunkl it is a basket case mate why do you think i said to steve not to buy it and i have most of the bits to repair it. for the same money mate i could get you a runner with some tax on it aswell as mot, when it comes down to it mate it is up to you, and i will help you with bits but i wouldnt

yes mate it is the red 1 was just an idea i was toying with about breaking it just too make some money to put into mine n get me bk on the road !
