Champagne Mk3
«

Well, this is my first car. A 1998 Champagne mk3 complete with an x14nz (thats a 1.4 spi lump
)
It's been in the family for a long while and has finaly been handed down to me! Heres how it stands now..
I'm still a learner, and my test is booked. Shouldn't be long now.
Opinions on de-bumpstripping?

You lucky thing getting it handed down and good look with the test
Car looks very tidy and for now I would leave it as it is until you have a better idea of what you want to do to it if anything.

Glad to see you've got the car on here now Tom! welcome to VQ9 as well
Again, I love the colour, something a bit different but can be made to look pretty sweet!!

I want a meaner front end, Grill like either Bens (space cadet) or just take the V out mine now and fill the gap it leaves. I have a nice mental image of what i want too...

Weird thing is right, I'm normally more of a subtle type of guy but something about that gold mk3 with black stripes, the grill and angel eyes just looks perfect!! bit to low though :(
I reckon if you followed the style of that mk3, you'd end up with a sweet car!

nowt wrong with that especially for a freebie first car mate
Just my opinion but if you change the side repeaters and lights etc i would defo go with smoked, black and champagne go so well together and is subtle but eye catching, looking forward to the progress on this.

I've told him on msn a few times to get some black/dark grey/smoke going on with it, will suit the car better

And thanks for the comments guys. Sorry if my posts yesteraday seemed a little blunt, I was tired and had to go to bed, work today
I have a few bits n bobs for the car now, and i'm still on the lookout for a set of angel eyes! I'll do a full update on the stuff i have when i have time...

Updates!
De-Badged
New Ice
My old headunit just had a CD capability, so i bought a new one from aldi (£50) and i loved it to bits, untill it drained my battery and it had to be recharged 6 times in 2 weeks...So took it back and apparnetly its a common fault. The hunt was back on! So i got my hands on these... Was going to refurb the sub and sell it on, but i think i may keep it...
Mudflaps
The rear O/s mudflap was missing when i got the car, so i bought a new set for the back. The left one needs re-straightening though!
Backbox
Enough said xD 3.5", Need to be welded on though
