Not posted in here for a while but today I got some bits done as this is the car I'm not keeping :)

So today I got my drivers seat out and all my amp cables in, my headunit in, the rear seats back in, the rear door cards in, the rear chrome handles in, my false boot floor!!

Also last night I got my dials out and my dad kindly painted my needles red for me, just need to get my white leds in now and then the clocks all back in

All that's left to do inside now is to get the wiring looms for the front doors of my auto into the sport so I can have my electric mirrors - I already have the wiring in the car loom just not the doors, fit my front chrome handles and then get the front door cards on, then my heater leds and my vauxhall mats - sorted!

I used a little tinlet of Humbrol 60 (Matt Red). Camera flash has made the rev counter needle look different for some reason.

i take it then needles dont glow then? it's been a while since i was in a mk3

They don't glow as such as in they don't have their own leds but the 4 leds behind the clocks shine through and light them enough :)

Well not much progress... nowt new there.... but I have done a few odd jobs!

Got my red led switches back in, except my headlight one has stopped working and also got the 4 white led bulbs for my dash out of the auto, got to the sport and 2 of them stopped working! gave them back to dad and re-tried today and still only 2 working so thought sod it and put the originals back in as I want the inside back together :)

Also fitted my led side light bulbs :)

Dash with 2 original bulbs and the 2 leds tht worked!


However decided I didn't like it so put the originals back in :)

Also decided today I was going to cancel my insurance policy, well seemed a tad pointless paying £66 p/m for the auto to sit outside broken and then if i swap it onto this, £75 p/m sat in the garage doing nothing but when I rang them the nice lady, called Lisa told me I only had 4 payments left for the auto then I'd have my 1st year ncb which could take up to £500!!! of my policy so upon that decided to leave it running... I guess although it seems a waste of money, whilst it's sat outside broken it's building me up ncb!

Also decided that once it's fixed it's going up for sale, just lost interest in ever driving this now so going to turn this project into more of a fix and clean up project!

Went and got a new picture of the car now to show it on the standard sport alloys of my dads car as mine had mk4 wheels with it which didn't look right at all!



Yep, I still need to get the bump strip glue of the drivers side and all the strips of the passenger side!

you need to get a gum wheel mate that will sort out that glue

And the majority of the paint too. Ben you got a cordless drill? i might have some tricks up my sleeve if you need to shift the crap on the doors

not got a cordless drill but i do have an extension lead that will reach to the car nicely and a toffee wheel somewhere :)
