Mines going back in  because im going back to standardish with the air filter and induction bits. Knocking my resonator out didnt really make mine any quicker or louder, just makes it whistle.

Rocker cover looks good though, is that the same as brians cabby on mk3oc? Also explains your FB status, should have done Lime green like your dad said though.

It's not oil mate, it's brake fluid from when we did the front brake pipes yesterday lmao

Nah not fussed about coloured pipes, too expensive

Might make a radiator cover to clean the engine bay up a tad more then a new backbox too

Well the last couple of days I've been preparing my interior plastics for spraying and last night I set about getting them fitted, this was when I realised I'd made to fatal mistakes!

The quality of the finish is fine, they look smart and have a fine shine to except being me, I made the fatal mistake of 1: not painting two areas as I thought they wouldn't be on show and 2: forgetting to take a pic of the heater clip before I took it apart, now it wont go back together - epic fail.

Prep work:

Before:

During:

After:

The two bits I thought wouldn't be on show to much:

Can't touch them up that easily either as it's all lacquered now! Ass much :(

I've also prepared and started spraying another TID surround. The carbon effect one looks good but going to try one the same colour as the plastics so pics later.
The trim for around the clocks is still playing games and the primer wont settle on it at all, it's smooth and I've cleaned it before spraying but still can't get a decent primer coat on it so going to keep trying and after that I just need to do the surround for the passenger side air vent.
Got to take the middle bit out again anyway to work out how the bloody heater slider thing for the top vents goes back together! grrr

The thin metal bar thing behind the heaters should just push back in ben.

You plonker.

Good work Ben, High build primer FTMW saves a lot of rubbing down and would have got it soooper smooth. You could have done the bits you had missed with a carefull aim with the can.

As soon as my heater LEDS turn up ill fit them and get any pictures you need.

Nah it's not that bit, it's the plastic bit behind the roller switch thingy, whichever way you put it, it wont roll as it should!

Yeah I used high build primer on the cam cover but the interior plastics I used normal, the finish is fine bar the two bits I missed lmao

Looks like the interior of Jays Nova.

You could always cover the bits up with a bit of fake carbon fibre

Copied from another side so be aware that some names you might not know :)

Well been busy again today - rude not to with the latest weather!!

Helped dad set our new compressor up to let it build up pressure and then tried out some of the tools we have! Went to pump up my new wheels with it but then found out I couldn't get the dust caps off.... metal ones and they wont budge :( so tried 2 other alloys and it pumped them up nicely!
Then got the paint gun thing out the box and plugged that it, blows nicely so will make use of it on my bumper and spoiler soon enough then packed it all away!

Mentioning the spoiler brings me onto my next update :) In my other thread you might have seen a pic of a tailgate dad bought me, £10 for the whole boot complete with 2 spoilers, made a nice day out for mum and dad :) so today I seperated them from the boot as that's being scrapped due to it being rotten and then started sanding my GSi spoiler ready to fill some of the holes. The lower spoiler is staying in the garage until I decide what bodykit I'm going to fit as I don't think it'll look right with standard bumpers.

Before:

After:

Top GSi Spoiler:

I broke part the lower one taking it off!:

Thankfully it fits back in place perfectly so just need to fix it in place :)

The wheels I might be fitting after repairing the chip:

195/55 tyres though, might try find some 45 or 50's for them

New front brake pipes thanks to Grandad:

When cleaning the shed to fit the compressor in, I found the interior light out of my old Astra, my smoked vectra one with map lights so might fit this instead:

The compressor:

Then this evening, I began sanding my GSi spoiler down. It's got a few chips that need filling but nothing major! As I like the dremel so much, I decided to clean the screws for the brake light up, to be fair... they were a mess!

That is one huge compressor, fair play

Brake pipes look all shiny and new,  :good: I would put a coat of hammerite or equivelant on them to protect them against future corrosion issues.

I like the look of the "new" back box, it should sound a bit nicer. I personally would stick with the standard (well standard for the 1.8 and 2.0 Sport anyway) Sport alloys as I think they look much nicer than the MK4 Sport alloys, but that's just my opinion....... feel free to ignore me, everyone else does  :'(

I think that lower rear spoiler will look good on your car, but I'm not really into spoilers and bodykits.
