I've not updated this for a while so later on I'll type an update up to fill the gaps but I have got an update for todays work :) Some of it, like the Names wont make sense as I've copied it from another forum but hey ho!
Update time! :)
Well today Grandad came over to help me out with my car and what a fantastic help he was! I've never seen a guy want to set about getting the job done so quick
Got the car up on axle stands and within 10mins of being near the car, the front drivers brake pipe was off! So whilst I was trying to remember how to flare the ends (which took the best part of half hour) before I gave up lmao, he's removed the passenger one too - top stuff
Anyway, after me forgetting how to flare the ends the way we needed.... I could do the way we didn't lol, we decided to shove all the tools away, pop to the MOT Station we use and for the price of a pint, the nice man down there went and flared both ends for the 2 front pipes - top stuff
Back to mine, get the fronts on, I whip some paint on the front callipers and then dad turns up to say hello :) Whilst he's at the garage he helps me pop my bonnet lifters on... which are actually boot struts of my old Astra lol and that's another job done!!
All was going well... until we started the backs. What we need to do on the backs is replace the hoses, this is a lot easier said than done, especially when the bolt we needed to remove to separate the hose from the pipe wouldn't come undone! I tried getting under the car and using a variety of spanners to try and make one fit but no, then tried using mole grips but no, tried lots of wd40 but no, then Grandad tried - scrounging through his tool box trying to find a spanner to fit but nope by which stage it was beginning to get dark, very cold and there wasn't really much left to do as it wouldn't come undone so packed everything up and he's going to try and read into it and see how to remove it and what size it is as a 17 is to big and a 15 is to small but neither of us had a 16 lol

I decided on black in the end as it just keeps them clean and I couldn't find a colour I liked. Also did the drums as well but didn't get pictures :)
Bonnet Lifters:
Took the pointless tank out of the arch for the airbox. This was fun lmao, even got Grandads chisel on it
Bit of surface rust to sort, nothing major
And then after we'd packed everything up, I set about prepping my Cam Cover :)
