Well all the lifters and camshaft brackets have been cleaned and re-oiled. Soon as the weather is dry I'll get the compressor out give the oilways a blast through.  Also have a repair job to do to the front bumper.
All in all the lack of progress is getting me down. I just can't wait to get in her again and be intoxicated by the exuberance of my velocity!

Oilways now blown out and loads of thick oil/carbon deposits been removed. We were surprised by how much grot was in there. Reassembly tomorrow, hopefully things might be better this time around.

Well I managed to get some of the bits done on my car today in between showers until I got to the drivers side.... I ended up swapping 2 of the wheels in the p*****g rain :lol:

Hopefully weather will be ok and we'll get this done tomorrow :)

It's my birthday today and so I've decided that the car will be running before night fall. If it isn't, then I'll just probably drive down to Beachy Head (in another car) and chuck myself off the highest cliff!!

Lifters have all now been thoroughly cleaned and primed with new oil, I feel good about this........................

Well, having made all that effort, it has made no difference to the car whatsoever. So as I have been unable to enlist the help of someone who is more familiar with these engines, on Tuesday the Pineapple goes off to be weighed in.

Simply can't afford to spend any more money on it now, my funds have completely gone.
