After a 4 month hiatus, work on the Pineapple has resumed!

Today we refitted the now sparkling clean sump pan  and oil collector pipe. Tomorrow is firing up day to see if the if the oil starvation problem is now sorted or if it is indeed
down to a dead oil pump. Fingers crossed!

Well bugger me, it lives again!

Sound's really good, no more nasty knocks or taps but the oil warning light is still on so I'm wondering if the sensor may be at fault. Noticed some dodgy wires on it whilst
the sump was being cleaned.

Progress at last   :good:

It might well be the sensor or the wiring. Although it may be worth checking the cleanliness and security of the connections. Although having said that, my last Astra had a dodgy wire going to the oil pressure switch. Donor wire and a couple of crimps later, jobs a good 'un.

Hopefully it will be a nice easy fix, I have my fingers crossed for you buddy.

The saga continues. I've managed to repair the damage I did to the exhaust fannymold using some fireplace cement. Fantastic stuff, sets rock hard and cheap too! So the whole exhaust system is back in place but we still have to sort the pressure relief valve.
Weather permitting, Ben and I will start to clear as many parts as we can to give us clear access to the valve so we can get the spring in and the nut tightened. Twas a nightmare to fit last time but with a bit more elbow room, all should go well. I've also now finished renovating the grille which now looks pretty stunning. Front bumper is next to be done and also the front panel will be getting some tlc before the bumper is refitted.
