Basically deal was, I got the auto astra beginning of this year, got my insurance etc etc been driving it then we took it off the road when MOT expired to get the bits done and then the sport came up on ebay! deal was I got that and then we sold the auto to pay for it

Anyway, the auto's been of the road now for 4/5 months with me paying £66 a month still to build up my ncb, all great but the shells being scrapped tomorrow meaning I need to swap my insurance onto the sport except that goes up to £80 a month which I don't want to pay. I would if I was actually driving it!!! but i'm not which means i'm paying all that money every month for it to just sit there till I can drive it which I wont do so to cut the rest out:

- wasted £250 buying my auto
- £180 on the deposit for insurance then £66 a month for nearly 9 months
- wasted all the money I spent on bits for it
- wont get the sport as it's dads as i didn't pay for it, wont now either as I can't insure it
- now have nothing to show for any of it

I'm not going to bother with driving lessons in the new year now as I wont need that many anyway before my test and there's no point me doing my test then having nothing to drive, just a waste of more money!

what about if you went onto your dad's insurance,wouldn't you earn any NCB that way?
or is that what you have been doing

Nope had my own insurance in my name but bought the sport mainly to get away from the auto! can't go on dads insurance either as it goes up way to much and his insurance doesn't allow named drivers to build up ncb

Just got off the phone to Quinn and I've got 4 payments left till my 1st year ncb

To cancel my policy I need to pay 80% of £834, my insurance price) + £35 (cancellation fee)

To swap my insurance on to the sport it's £67 (what I pay now) plus £12 = £79 a month

Only logical way round it is, to swap my insurance onto the sport so I can keep my 1st year ncb and then get the sport done and sold so I can get something smaller,

the panda is a rare animal, so it has protection , against all panda bashing especially from numptys,lol
