Wasn't too hard to find the year of the car, Vin plate is still under the bonnet, another corresponding vin plate riveted to the top of the dash, and a sticker on the inside of the door with the Chassis number on it with the date of manufacture,Feb '73.
So that rules that out for the reason for the Q-plate.
Anyway, when re-registered over here it will be on a ZV plate as are most cars over 30 years that are imported.
Some pics I took last weekend of the rear bumpers mid polishing session
They were not finished when I took these pics but are now largely rust free.

Overiders below bumpers(the bits that turn down) as you can see are very badly rusted, so I think I might just paint them fot the time being.

pic of the rear interior before it was washed.

And as you can see I stuck a Yankee plate on it to keep the guessers guessing.
Started to wet sand the paint today, but it's gonna take a long time to finish as the paint is rock hard

Looks like that poor chrome has had better days. What are you going to do - polish it the best you can or re-chrome?

The paint work looks better from what we can see of it. :D

Yeah the chrome on the overriders has seen better days but the tops have come up a treat.
I've seen on E-bay a set of stainless steel ones that I might go for, but that will probably be in the new year,I've spent enough this year. :'(
Paint at this stage had a quick rub with the buffer and G3, but the wet sanding will bring it up like a mirror.
Just want to make it as best I can for the time being

Just click on the UK flag and it's in English. That goes for both European sites.

And yes I am pedantic.
