My Astra Mk3 build
« on: August 25, 2009, 08:50:16 PM »

Here we go, decided to do one of these after looking through everyone elses!
Right had a 5 door 1.4 mk3 for a while was a bit of a dog so was looking around for something cheap to work on.
Well found this on ebay won it for £200 quid.
Its in lovely nick the bloke who had it was an old guy i think, really looked after it. No rust at all, passed its MOT first time so no worries!

Has a Remus exhaust on it as well so that was a nice little extra.

So far i have brought a Reiger front and rear bumper and grille, gsi side skirts and spoiler and im currently in the process of spraying them.
I have debump stripped the car, added my alloys(which really need a refurb!) and change side reps to smoked ones.

I am yet to do:
Get rear, front bumpers, sideskirts, spoiler and grille sprayed and on.
Drop 40mm, going to get springs and shocks kit i think.
Change the interior to all black.
Add electric goodies - electric windows and mirrors.
Upgrade the front brakes to 288mm
Do rear brake conversion.
Colourcode all the usual bits.

So start

and so far....

Old image need a more up to date one!

That is one good find and well worth it £200 :good:

Looking forward to you starting a WIP on this one, it is going to be a real tidy motor when you have finished with it.

Oh my original one was a 1.4, forgot to add this is a 1.6 (not much better) but in the future when those insuance premiums go down i want to either v6 it or LET it, not sure yet.
