My tame mechanic has literally been snowed under with work, but has promised me a good deal on the labour charge. 
Just hope he can fit it in soon, as we can't carry on with only one car for much longer.

He reckons it could take 3-4 hours to drop the subframe, unbolt everything that needs replacing, fit new parts etc. 
But the good news is that he will do it between jobs, so I will just pay for parts plus token labour charge.

I still might do that, but a better spec model.

Yeah mate can pick up decent spec models for not riduclous prices now. If you need 5 door for the kids and that, a nice 5door sport.
